Recruiting: Carson Desrosiers Drops Providence from List

Posted: August 23, 2009 in Recruiting

Kevin McNamara of the Providence Journal has reported that Carson Desrosiers has narrowed his615006

list of potential schools to three.  Providence is not one of them.  The 6’10” big man from New Hampshire has concentrated his decision down to Wake Forest, Arizona State, and Marquette.

Coach Keno Davis had been working Desrosiers since he became the head coach at PC.  Desrosiers is currently ranked #75 on ESPN’s Top 100 Prospects list.

images Although PC has already gotten off to a great start for the 2010 class with Gerard Coleman and Ron Giplaye but missing out on Desrosiers hurts.  His size is definitely something that would have been good to have.  But now its time to but Desrosiers in the rear-view  mirror and focus on getting a big man… possibly 6’8″ PF Devon Collier or 6’9″ C Ashton Pankey both from Bob Hurley’s program at St. Anthony’s in New Jersey?
